CHILDREN	Grace (11/88) Freshman ('08) at Knox College in Galesburg, IL. majoring in International Relations Marie (11/90) Junior ('08) at Oak Park River Forest High School – plays soccer and shops for clothes Sam (08/93) Freshman ('08) at OPRFHS – a runner like dad…but much better
HOBBIES	Kids' sports activities are my biggest hobby followed by: Competitive Running – 30+ marathons, lots of half marathons, 10Ks… I haven’t been able to stop running since Woodland Heights. I am also a tech gadget geek.
TV SHOWS I WATCH	Always sports: OSU, Cubs, White Sox, Bulls, Bears Currently: Lost, ER, 24, HGTV, History and Discovery
MUSIC I LISTEN TO	Current stuff introduced to me by the kids and oldies…Doobies, Chicago, The Who, Beatles…
COOL GHS MEMORY	Cruising Broadway with House, Spitler, Boyer, Godwin and Gilbert, a bottle of Mr. Bubble in the fountain …then a stop at the Pizza Hut for a pitcher of 3.2 and maybe the appearance of a streaker Hanging out at Cathy Hanes’ house Those fantastic football years under Coach Holman
FAVE TEACHER	Mrs. Goins - “I love smart children; but I hate smartalecks” Mr. Kludy – The cannon, eating an iodine soaked potato Mr. Detrick – “The Vice Presidency isn’t worth a bucket of spit” Mr. Williams– “Betcha a dime to a donut…” Ms. Schmidt – “Well? …that’s a hole in the ground with water in it” (1970’s version of like, like, like…) Miss Barr – I have a memory of her grabbing Tom Olwine by the back of the shirt, lifting his feet off the ground while she yelled at us for running in the hall.
NOW	Family activities especially cross country, track and soccer. Lots of travel. Enjoying Chicago’s great restaurants, pro sports, activities and events. I am eager to retire to a more casual career (maybe a Target Greeter or the guy who carries passengers around the airport in the golf cart)
