Neil Young is one of the greatest songwriters of all time.  And he is one the the top 4 songwriters of my life.

He's not everyone's cup of tea - he's an acquired taste.  But if you don't know the genius of this man, you have missed something.

Maybe I can change that.

Neil is of our time - Neil personifies our time.

And he's still vital and important and the most prolific artist of our lives.

This page is for the Neil fans in our class - and for those who might be converted.

The song, Cinnamon Girl, still rocks my soul every time I hear it.  One of those songs - for me - that I will never hear too many times.

It debuted on the 1969 album Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, which was also Young's first album with backing band, Crazy Horse.

The single reached #55 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 1970.

This is my favorite Neil Young song - and that's saying something.

He has never attributed this song to anyone, and even though he has been happily married forever, somewhere he said that he still might be searching for his Cinnamon Girl.

Me too.
